Ear Training Level Four

ET IV is the most advanced required level of ear training. It includes chromatic intervals, Neapolitan and augmented sixth chords, octatonic scales and twelve-tone rows, and longer chromatic harmonic progressions. Since nearly all students have been in the ET sequence for a minimum of two semesters there is a high level of improvisational confidence the eureka guidebook can tap into. As with all other ET levels, there are increased opportunities to include a greater variety of music and music pedagogies beyond the classical canon.
