Ear Training Level One
Ear Training I (ET I) students are often self-identified as music majors, minors, or concentrators that have had many years of experience making music but may not have had traditional musicianship training. Simple meters and rhythms, major and minor scales, triads in root position, the dominant seventh chord, and short tonal harmonic progressions are all explored through improvisation.
Improvisation will also improve the basic sight reading and dictation skills that are presented in ET I.
