Beginning

  1. Teacher speaks the words, “Soft, medium, loud.”
  2. Students repeat.

Intermediate

  1. Teacher speaks the words, “Loud, medium, soft.”
  2. Students repeat.

Advanced

  1. Teacher speaks the words, “Medium, soft, loud.”
  2. Students repeat.

In Tempo

Sung

Teacher sets up a tempo, time signature, and tonality singing only one note per measure.

Beginning

  1. Teacher hums the same sound three different ways: soft, medium, or loud.
  2. Students repeat.

Intermediate

  1. Teacher sings the same solfege three different ways: soft, medium, or loud.
  2. Students repeat.

Advanced

  1. Teacher sings different solfege notes three different ways: soft, medium, or loud.
  2. Students repeat.
