In Tempo

The same Out of Tempo exercises are performed In Tempo.

The teacher sets up a tempo, time signature, and tonality, instructing the students to:

  1. Clap the beats in the textures instructed while singing the beats of the given time signature in the same texture as the claps.
  2. Clap the beats in the textures as instructed while singing different rhythms in the same textures as the claps.
  3. Sing the beats in the textures instructed while clapping the beats in the same textures.
  4. Sing the beats in the textures instructed while clapping different rhythms in the same textures as the claps.
  5. Vary the textures between the claps and the singing so that they are not the same.
